Body: Nourishing from the Inside OutTaking care of our body is more than just exercise—it's about fueling ourselves with the right foods, moving in ways that feel good, and finding balance in our overall well-being. My journey toward better physical health has been a process of learning, unlearning, and making conscious choices that align with a more holistic lifestyle.

For years, I didn’t think much about what I was putting into my body. Processed foods, sugary drinks, and convenience meals were easy, but they left me feeling sluggish, bloated, and disconnected from my health. I knew I needed a change—not just a diet, but a shift in mindset. This is something I continue working on  and has been a learning experience I never imagined I would start enjoying. 

A Holistic Approach to Wellness Rather than focusing on strict rules or unrealistic goals, I’ve embraced a holistic approach that allows me to nourish my body while still enjoying the foods I love. It’s about balance—listening to my body, making better choices, and treating food as fuel rather than just comfort.

Food as Medicine: My Shift to Whole Foods
One of the biggest changes I’ve made is moving away from processed foods and embracing whole, natural ingredients.
This means:
🥑 Choosing fresh, whole foods over heavily processed alternatives
🥩 Prioritizing lean proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates
🍉 Adding more fruits, vegetables, and nutrient-dense ingredients to my meals
🌱 Exploring healthier alternatives to traditional recipes without sacrificing flavor

As someone who loves Mexican food, I’ve found ways to tweak my favorite dishes while keeping their rich, authentic flavors. From swapping out white rice for cauliflower rice to using homemade salsas without added sugars, I’ve learned that healthy eating doesn’t mean giving up the meals I love—it just means getting creative!

Moving with Purpose: Fitness & Well-Being Physical health is more than just what we eat—it’s also about movement. For much of my life, fitness wasn’t a priority. I led a sedentary lifestyle, signing up for gym memberships I rarely used and purchasing home workouts I never completed, often getting distracted.

​Over the past year, I’ve realized that fitness isn’t all about exercise—it’s about finding joy in movement and creating the right environment to make it happen. For me, that meant discovering a gym community that has motivated me to push beyond what I once thought was possible.

🚶‍♀️ Daily walks for fresh air and clarity (I thank my lovely dog Hazel for those walks )

Making Wellness a Lifestyle Wellness isn’t about perfection—it’s about consistency, balance, and self-care. I remind myself that progress is more important than perfection and that every healthy choice I make is a step toward a better version of myself. 

My goal is to share my personal journey, favorite recipes, and the small changes that have made a big difference in my life. If I can inspire even one person to make a healthier choice without feeling restricted, then I know I’m on the right path.

Fitness has never felt like a walk in the park for me. It has taken an enormous effort to get out there and live a more active lifestyle and I am still working on it , but by far in a better position than what I had been my entire life. 


I tried gym memberships, home workout plans , until I had the fortune to come across a personal training gym in my area that has helped tremendously in pushing me to  get outside of my comfort zone
